This year we had our first community event, gathering our friends, artists, entrepreneurs, musicians, dancers, creators, and dreamers at our home — Kalinda.
On the surface, it looked like a celebration for our long overdue housewarming and the 12 year anniversary of YoshiZen.
What we were really celebrating was something much deeper.
Over the years, we’ve come to believe that the most powerful force for change in the world is a human being who knows who they are.
Someone who has taken the time to question inherited beliefs, listen to their inner voice, and create a life that feels aligned with their values. I strongly believe that every meaningful change begins there. With self awareness, the courage to live consciously and the willingness to become more of who you already are.
The people who gathered at Kalinda each carry a unique gift.
Some build businesses.
Some create art.
Some teach.
Some heal.
Some bring people together.
What truly unites them is a desire to contribute something beautiful to the world.
For many years, people have known YoshiZen as a clothing brand. Our deeper vision has always been about transformation.
The clothing is only one expression of that vision.
The deeper purpose is to inspire creativity, self expression, meaningful connection, and a life lived with intention.
We believe the world changes when people feel empowered to become the fullest expression of themselves.
The Light Warriors project was born from that belief.
Over the coming months, we’ll be sharing the stories of the people who inspire us most.
The dreamers.
The builders.
The artists.
The visionaries.
People creating new possibilities for themselves and for the communities around them.
This gathering felt like the first step in a much larger journey.
